Beckham Arrives in Hawaii

Mega star David Beckham will be playing in the Pan Pacific Soccer Tournament on Wednesday and Saturday at Aloha Stadium.

Members of the Los Angeles Galaxy arrived on Monday.

Beauty queens and musicians greeted the players at the airport.

As Beckham and other members of the Los Angeles Galaxy team appeared the crowd went wild. The beauty queens gave leis and the band played. Fans ducked under the ropes and posed for a picture.

Hawaii Superferry has canceled all voyages until March 3 to repair the Alakai's auxiliary rudders.

Company officials said Friday that they are moving up the ferry's annual drydock for maintenance and recertification by the U.S. Coast Guard to take advantage of the off-peak travel season.

The Alakai will be docked in Honolulu from Feb. 13 to March 3.

Hawaii Superferry will notify all passengers with reservations for voyages during that period for refunds or to rebook their trips. Officials said they will provide passengers with special rates from partner airlines and rental car companies.

Terrell Owens and Adrian Peterson scored fourth-quarter touchdowns to rally the NFC to a 42-30 victory over the AFC in the NFL's Pro Bowl at Honolulu on Sunday. The Dallas Cowboys' Owens hauled in a six-yard pass from Tampa Bay quarterback Jeff Garcia to give the NFC the lead at 35-30 before Minnesota's Peterson scored on a six-yard run to wrap up the win.
