Sea Talk Series at The Maui Ocean Center

THE MAUI OCEAN CENTER will host a free lecture at 6 p.m. on Sept. 20 in continuance of its "Sea Talk Series." Mike Napier, geographic information scientist and analyst for the Pacific Disaster Center will speak about the Indian Ocean Tsunami in a lecture entitled "The View From Ground Zero at Banda Aceh." Napier recently returned from Thailand and Indonesia where he witnessed first hand the destruction by the massive wave and assisted in the support of the U.S. Pacific Command and World Health Organization efforts.
